In the 1990s was a sci-fi show called Babylon 5. It's in syndication, shown on the sci-fi channel. Five or six years it ran. It's grown to cult status in the sci-fi realm. It was known technically for it's integration of CG graphics as an integral part of the show. The effects were well-advanced for a serial--meaning for a weekly show, and the amount of time they had to spend developing the computer-generated backgrounds, it's pretty darned good work.
