I'm back from my trip to Austin - it was the annual sojourn to Austin for the IntelliMark Party. That party itself was a blast! We shut it down at 12:30am - oh what fun! :) I got to see some friends from Austin, as well - my old work-colleagues from Dell - some personal friends. Eric D. gave me a full 2 hr massage! (he's studying to become an LMT & some other Chinese medical stuff) - I'm still relaxed from it!! Just wonderful! I introduced Brian to geocaching! He's so hooked now! I'll have photos up shortly in the Gallery.

Ah, it's that time of year. Fall is officially here. Well, at least as far as SoCal goes. It's November. Granted the weather is still great, but at least in my mind, we're in fall one way or the other when Nov 1 hits!

That said - that means Christmas is around the corner. I've been stocking up on my catalogs the last month or so in preparation. I started flipping thru one of the large clothing magazines - and it hit on one of my small pet peeves: why do clothing catalogs show 90% womens wear, and only 10% mens wear? Is it because women buy so many more clothing items (in whole or variation?). At face value, it would seem so. But it certainl does make it more difficult, as a guy, and/or shopping for a guy, to find clothing. I tend to have a habit of getting through the mens section and going "Huh. That's it?" It's a very small nit, as I said - but gives me something to do other than work at the moment :)

In other news, I'm preparing for my trip to Austin. I'm eager to see old friends, eager for the IntelliMark party. I'm already eager to get home, too - have it all done & be back here with who-know-who! But I realized something this week - a 7am flight the week of the time change. I'm having a hard time waking up at 6am as normal - now I'll have to wake up at 0430, shower, get to the airport (make Jason take me to the airport, that is). I'm tired just thinking about 0430! But regardless, I'm preparing my list of things I make sure to bring - laptop, GPS (for geocaching), parts for my server (the server this blog runs on). Hmm, speaking of which I should start a backup I suppose :)
